The farmhouse
It is a house of primitive Catalan typology, with outbuildings from different eras. This construction has undergone many modifications of its original appearance, throughout its history. Originally, the building could have been located in the late medieval period (14th-15th centuries), although the current structure must have been built at the beginning of the modern period (16th century). During the following centuries several extensions were made. At the end of the 19th century, Can Falguera was given to farmers and ceased to be used productively to become a summer house. The façade was modified in 1920 by Josep Maria Falguera due to his marriage.
During the second half of the 20th century, the great decline of Can Falguera took place, when the lands of the farmhouse began to be sold to build houses, and the urbanization of Can Falguera was born. This caused the farmhouse to be abandoned and to reach an almost dilapidated state of preservation. At the end of the 2000s, the Palau-Solità i Plegamans City Council promoted the Can Falguera rehabilitation and refurbishment project due to its poor state of conservation.
