Saturday, December 13, 2025, the MIT will host a workshop dedicated to the Catalan glove puppet, taught by Eudald Ferré.
Hours: 11:00–14:00 and 15:00–18:00.
The Catalan glove puppet is one of the oldest and most emblematic forms of our performing heritage.It is characterized by being manipulated directly with the hand inside the puppet, in a technique unique in the world. His popular and often irreverent characters give life to stories full of humor, social criticism and spontaneity.
Eudald Ferré, puppeteer, actor, director and puppet teacher at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, is one of the most prominent figures in the preservation and renewal of this tradition. His career combines historical research, contemporary creation and teaching, transmitting the passion for puppetry to new generations of artists.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to discover up close the essence of the Catalan glove puppet.

Taught by Teia Moner, actress, magician, pedagogue, therapist and puppeteer with over 46 years of experience. She is currently the director of the International Puppet Museum of Catalonia (MIT)

Objective of the Workshop
Discover techniques for telling stories in an engaging way and learn about resources that enrich the story and connect with the audience.
Introduction: difference between reading and narrating; the emotional bond with the audience.
Strategies: use of voice, gestures, gaze and structure of the story.
Support resources: objects, puppets, music, sounds, light and body movement.
Practice: exercises in narration, improvisation and creation of stories with the support of objects or puppets.
Conclusions: synthesis of techniques, practical advice and recommendations to continue exploring the art of storytelling.
Addressed to everyone who likes to tell stories, whether professional or not.
