The\u00a0International Puppet Museum of Catalonia-Teia Moner<\/strong>\u00a0(MIT), is the first facility of this type in Catalonia, a unique space of its kind in the country and which\u00a0spread the art of puppetry<\/strong>, at the same time that\u00a0exhibit pieces and documents from the 19th century to the present day<\/strong>\u00a0and which will be located in the farmhouse of Can Falguera (14th century) in Palau-Solit\u00e0 i Plegamans. This initiative was born from the will of the renowned puppeteer, multifaceted creator,\u00a0Teia Moner<\/strong>.<\/p>

One of the functions of MIT, according to Moner, will be \u201cpromote the technique and promotion of the Catalan puppet<\/strong>, which is being lost and is indigenous to the country<\/em>.\u201d MIT will also have a very powerful side in terms of the\u00a0puppet therapy<\/strong>\u00a0and in fact, he is taking a course with the Lebanese teacher Karim Dakroub.<\/p>

Teia Moner explained MIT's mission and the peculiarities of its museological discourse: "Usually the speeches of other museums are historicist and the pieces are grouped by eras and countries. In the MIT, the pieces are grouped by manipulation techniques, so this allows us to compare the pieces and the techniques according to the country and also helps us to discover part of the historical and social evolution of the countries of origin<\/em>.”<\/p>

The equipment houses the Teia Moner collection, with\u00a0800 puppets<\/strong>, of which\u00a0a small part is exposed, 150<\/strong>, while the rest is preserved in the farmhouse's warehouse. They are there\u00a0unique pieces<\/strong>, like a\u00a0Laurent Mourguet wink<\/strong>, creator of the French guinyol, and which dates from 1810, o\u00a0Chinese shades from the late 1800s<\/strong>.<\/p>

The equipment has different rooms, where videos from different companies will be projected and even a metaverse space, in collaboration with Catvers.<\/p>

The Councilor for Culture,\u00a0Eva Soler<\/strong>, wanted to expressly thank the museum's promoters for their efforts and remarked that this equipment returns to "put Palau-solit\u00e0 and Plegamans on the map on a cultural scale and it is a privilege to have this museum. I also want to appreciate that the MIT is located in the Masia de Can Falguera, a restored municipal building and an outstanding heritage element of our town<\/em>“.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The\u00a0inauguration<\/strong>\u00a0this will take place\u00a0Saturday<\/strong>, from the\u00a06:00 p.m<\/strong>, with several events aimed at an audience of all ages, although before that, at 5:00 p.m., a guided tour for the authorities will have already taken place. Later, at 6:00 p.m., some\u00a0short parliaments<\/strong>\u00a0in the square in front of the museum, which will start several\u00a0performances<\/strong>\u00a0and theopening of MIT to the public<\/strong>\u00a0attendee by invitation.<\/p>

On Sunday, MIT will hold an open day with visiting hours every hour on the dot from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. These visits are interspersed between various performances.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
