The farmhouse of Can Falguera<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Palau-solit\u00e0 and Plegamans<\/strong>, from the 14th century, will be the equipment that will host the\u00a0International Puppet Museum of Catalonia<\/strong>\u00a0(MIT). It will be inaugurated this Saturday, but it will not be until December when it will open to the general public and it is a unique space in the country that aims to\u00a0spread the art of puppetry<\/strong>.<\/div>
The farmhouse is managed by the cultural cooperative led by Teia Moner<\/strong>. "We have pieces from the year 1800 until now, from companies that even today are no longer active", explained Moner.\u00a0150 will be exhibited<\/strong>\u00a0of the nearly 800 it has with, among other pieces,\u00a0a wink from Laurent Mourguet<\/strong>, creator of the French guinyol, and which dates from 1810, and Chinese shadows from the late 1800s.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

For young people who are not so young, the character of the\u00a0tomato<\/em><\/strong>, the well-known tomato-shaped answering machine from the first years of Club S\u00faper 3; material from the show\u00a0Don Quixote\u00a0<\/strong>made at the opening ceremony of\u00a0the Universal Exhibition of 1992\u00a0<\/strong>in Seville and an elderly Don Juan.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

"The mission of the museum is to manage the cultural heritage of\u00a0puppets in different aspects<\/a>, cover the creation needs so that the collections can lend pieces for their preservation, and advocate for the\u00a0Catalan puppet technique<\/strong>, which is being lost", added Moner.<\/p>

About 2,700 students<\/strong><\/h3>

MIT already opened its doors last year but only\u00a0for school groups<\/strong>, and where they passed through\u00a0about 2,700 students<\/strong>. This year, there are already more than 2,000 students registered, who will participate in activities such as the one that combines marionettes and therapy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
